Last year the Priory Singers launched our Patrons scheme, in which we asked our audience to consider supporting the choir for the season. In return for £30, patrons were guaranteed tickets to our major concert for the year, acknowledgement of their support in our programmes and a newsletter giving exclusive insights into the Choir, as well as details of future events.
The fruits of the scheme were almost immediate. In November 2008, the Priory Singers performed Handel's Messiah with experienced soloists and the Welsh Baroque Orchestra playing period instruments. The professionalism we achieved in this concert, only made possible with the help of our patrons, was perhaps the highlight of our ten-year history.
As we go forward into a new concert season, we are looking to build on our growing reputation by inviting you to become a patron of the Priory Singers. Your support will enable us to plan confidently for the season ahead, which this year includes 1791, a celebration of the music of Mozart's final year, featuring the Clarinet Concerto and Requiem.
Remember, the benefits of patronage are:
- Two tickets to the season’s major concert
- Acknowledgement of your support in each of the season's concert programmes
- Newsletter keeping you up to date with forthcoming events
Please consider becoming a patron and getting involved in the life of the Choir. Our ambition has always been to make the highest quality music from an innovative and eclectic repertoire, and the support you give will help us do this – and more!
Patrons will be able to sign-up online in the near future. Until then, please send postal applications to:
